Whitney

Solene is our firstborn Barbet and she has done nothing but bring happiness to our lives. She is a sweet and gentle soul who is a devoted pet and gorgeous show girl.

No Barbet in America has won more prestigious events than Solene. Best of Breed at the 2021 Westminster Kennel Club, 2020/21 AKC National Championship, the 2020 National Dog Show, and the 2020 Barbet National show. She was Best of Opposite at the first Barbet National Specialty show from the veterans class at age 10!

Whitney is such a smart, sweet and fun girl, just full of personality. She is a Champion in the ring and has a Senior level dock diving title. She has several Master level distances too! We hope to breed Whitney to Radar in 2024.

Flynn is one of our stars at Hickory Tavern Farm. She is the first AKC Champion Barbet, an excellent dock diver, and a good water retriever. She earned her Certificate of Merit title at under two years of age. A 2021 highlight, Flynn won Best of Breed at the Morris & Essex Kennel Club show under Doug Johnson. She is a delightful personality!

Pedigree

Flynn was also one of the first high ranked Barbet in NADD with a personal best jump of 16'7". Flynn earned an invitation to the 2018 NADD Nationals in Orlando, Florida. Her daughter Jessa jumped 17'3" in her first year in NADD.

Flynn is the 2020 #1 NOHS Barbet, and the proud mom of three beautiful litters, an AKC Grand Champion., and Select Bitch at the 2021 Westminster Kennel Club. She was Select Bitch from the Veterans Class at the 2023 National Specialty.

Radar earned his AKC Championship in just 5 shows in the fall of 2021. He was always Best of Winners or Best of Breed and finished with a 5 point major in Orlando. Radar has so much personality and enjoys being an ambassador of good will for the breed!

Solene

Eddie is a gorgeous boy from our most recent litter. He is the 2022 Barbet National Puppy Stakes winner and the #2 NOHS Barbet for 2023 in extremely limited showing. Ed is taking some time off to mature and will be back in the ring in the future.

Solene won the FSS Group at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship in 2015, just a few weeks after becoming the first American Bred Barbet to earn a Certificate of Merit. In July 2020, Solene won Reserve Best in Show in the NOHS competition in Canfield, OH. Solene is the 2020 #1 Barbet bitch, qualifying in the Top 5 for Westminster for 2020, 2021, and 2022. Solene has always been shown very sparingly but she loves every minute of it. Now retired, Solene is our most special star.
